Adam’s Email 11/5/2025

Hi Everyone,

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Volunteer Appreciation Halloween Party last week! We had a great time and loved seeing all the creative costumes. Even better, thanks to your generous donations, the Yavapai Food Neighbors (aka “Green Bags”) collected 450 pounds of food for the Community Cupboard Food Bank. We appreciate your generosity and community spirit! Check out our Google Photos album for photos from the party—more are coming soon.

Meals on Wheels Travel Club

At the party, Neal announced the launch of the Meals on Wheels Travel Club created in partnership with Tauck Travel. Our first all-inclusive trip will take place October 12-19, 2026, to the amazing Canyonlands: Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Zion National Parks. Please refer to the attached flyer and contact Neal at neal@prescottmealsonwheels.org for more information.

New Meals on Wheels Van and Veterans Day Parade

Neal also shared some exciting news: we have a new Meals on Wheels minivan, made possible by a generous legacy gift from Ron Hutter, a longtime driver who sadly passed away earlier this year. The van, which can be used by volunteer drivers, is currently being wrapped with the Meals on Wheels logo and will be ready just in time for the Veterans Day Parade on November 11th. Keep an eye out for it in the parking lot and let us know what you think!

If you’d like to march with us in the parade, please let us know. We are Entry #28 and we’ll meet at 9:30AM on Willis Street between Alarcon and Pleasant Street—look for our van. The parade begins at 11 a.m. and goes around the Courthouse Square in downtown Prescott. Please join us and show your support for the veterans in our community!

I will be out of town for Veterans Day and not be in the office on Monday, November 10th. Please reach out to Jan if you need assistance.
