Adam’s Email August 13th

Hi Everyone,

This week’s lineup: roads, travel, and a dash of Texas.

Paving Work: Hwy 89/Prescott Lakes Parkway, Aug-Oct

The City of Prescott will begin pavement work on Hwy 89 and Prescott Lakes Parkway on August 18, continuing through mid-October. The project will include both the Willow Lake roundabout and the Prescott Lakes Parkway roundabout. Expect possible delays due to closures and lane restrictions—please plan travel time accordingly.

Travel Season Ahead

As summer begins to wind down (though not the temperatures!), I’m looking ahead to the fall travel season. The need for substitutes remains light over the next two weeks but will increase starting in September. If you know you’ll be traveling this fall, please let me know as soon as possible so I can add the openings to the schedule. Thank you.

Volunteer Town Hall, August 20th

Just a reminder that our Volunteer Town Hall is coming up on Wednesday, August 20th, from 2-3pm, in the dining room. We’d love for you to join us for updates from the staff and to share your feedback. If you haven’t attended before, these informal, interactive gatherings happen every three months, and all volunteers are welcome.

Meals on Wheels National Conference, August 25-29

This year’s conference will be held in San Antonio. Neal, Ashley, and I will be attending and will be out of the office during the week of August 25th. We’re looking forward to connecting with other Meals on Wheels programs and learning how they are responding to needs in their communities. I’ll be checking email while we’re away, but please see Jan if you need assistance.
