Jan’s Email May 14

Hello Everyone,

By now you probably know that Adam is on vacation, and I am trying to fill his very big shoes. Please bear with me if I make a mistake or two. And thank you to all of you for being so kind and helpful!

Coming up in the near future at your favorite Meals on Wheels, please make note of the following dates:
  • Legacy Planning Workshop – Monday, May 20th, from 4–6 PM. Join us here in the Meals on Wheels dining room for an informative session with estate planning attorney Angela Bradshaw Napper.
  • Memorial Day Closure – Monday, May 26th. We’ll be closed in observance of the holiday.
  • Volunteer Town Hall – Thursday, May 29th, from 2–3 PM, in the Meals on Wheels Dining Room. This is a great chance to hear behind-the-scenes updates and share your thoughts with us.
Now on to the business of Routes in Need of Subs.
We have the Purple Route open this week, on Friday, May 16th. Please let me know if you are available to help out that day.

Finally, a brief reminder regarding all of our routes. We’re now serving about 20 more neighbors than just a month ago, and most routes are full or nearly full. In the short term, we’ll need to shift some clients between routes to make space for new ones. While not ideal, this will help us avoid starting a waiting list. Thank you in advance for your understanding as we evaluate next steps.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.

With great appreciation,
